Released on 12th April 2005, through Island/Def Jam Records, The Emancipation of Mimi is Mariah Carey's 10th studio album and is widely regarded as her "comeback" project. It became her best-selling album, featuring hit singles We Belong Together, Shake It Off, Don't Forget About Us and It's Like That.

The album will be reissued in a 2LP set, which includes a new bonus track making its debut on vinyl, We Belong Together (Mimi's Late Night Valentine's Mix).
