Landing between his production duties for Michael Jackson''s multi-platinum Off The Wall and the phenomenon of Thriller, The Dude was the album that would establish Quincy Jones as a contemporary artist in his own right. Featuring the singles Just Once, One Hundred Ways and huge UK hit Razzamatazz, The Dude would go on to become a Grammy Award-winning success story. It''s probably most famous today for Quincy''s take on Ai No Corrida, written by ex-Blockhead Chaz Jankel, which was also a chart smash and a big club hit. The award-winning album celebrates its 35th anniversary this year and is available again as a limited vinyl edition Record Store Day 2016 release.
