Zero 7 were formed in 1997 by producers Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. In 2001 their debut album Simple Things was released. The rceord has sold over a million copies to date, and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Zero 7 were also nominated as Best Newcomer at the Brit Awards 2001.

This two-disc deluxe edition mirrors the now unavailable original CD, and also includes an 11 track bonus disc. Some of these cuts have never been made available before - including three live sessions from the band'€™s 2002 USA tour from San Francisco radio station KFOG (Simple Things, Destiny and Waiting Line). Also featured are two tracks that we'€™re only on the Japanese version of the album (Spinning and Monday Night), and some of the band'€™s favourite remixes of the Simple Things singles from the likes of Photek, Richard Dorfmeister and Idjut Boys, plus an unreleased remix by Matthew Herbert.
