This special 7" presents rare outtakes from pioneering and controversial electronic jazz on vinyl for the first time.
Released in 1970, Don Cherry and Jon Appleton's Human Music tested the boundaries of electronic sound, jazz and ethnological disciplines in a series of melodic and rhythmical interfaces which would polarise musical tastes, pop politics and potential spiritual beliefs. Recorded during the same sessions, non-album tracks Don and Jon provide a glimpse of what future unisons might have bequeathed, before both artists coincidentally relocated to Sweden to pursue their own musical paths.
