Hoodoo Zoo is the fourth album of original songs by Steve Brookes. Having made guest appearances on a couple of Paul Weller's albums, his old friend has returned the compliment on two of this album's tracks, Amala and Looking at the Monkeys. The songs are sometimes stripped down to bare vocal, acoustic guitar and footstomp but most of the tracks feature the outstanding drums and percussion skills of Ben Gordelier.
