Baroness are back with their first new music in three years, and continuing their journey through the colour spectrum with Purple. Produced by Dave Fridmann and released through their own Abraxan Hymns imprint, the record looks set to continue their seemingly irrepressible ascent up the metal food chain, and is already picking up plaudits from all corners. Concerning the band's approach to the LP, founder and singer John Baizley says; "after releasing a lengthy and investigative record like Yellow & Green we all felt that we needed to make something much more direct and immediate."
