Nils Frahm follows his latest album All Melody album with the surprise EP Encores 1.
Recorded in his studio at the Funkhaus in Berlin as part of the same sessions for All Melody, the new release is made of the same melodic ambience yet carries it further into the night. Loaded up with cinematic ambience and left to ripen in a lounge-jazz atmosphere, the first four tracks see the piano take centre stage before Harmonium in the Well steals the show with it's slowly expanding inward looking drones.
